About this board
Euro Car Owners Forum started in September 2025 for people who own a Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Audi or Bentley and live somewhere between San Antonio, Austin and the Hill Country. The big national forums are good for a fault code. They are not much use when you want to know which indy in Boerne will do a ZF fluid service, what the dealer on the north side charged for a Macan transfer case, or which loop out of Fredericksburg is still empty on a Sunday. That is what this one is for.
It is run by Laura V., who spent twelve years as a service advisor and then parts manager at a Mercedes dealer on the north side of San Antonio and now runs the parts counter at an independent shop. She goes by mod_laura_v on the boards and answers the contact address herself, usually within a few days.
The forum is member run. There is no company behind it, nobody is paid, and nobody who sells cars or parts has any say in what gets posted. Members who work at a dealer, a shop or a lender say so in their profile and in their first post.
House rules
- Year and engine in the first line of any workshop question. A 2015 and a 2020 with the same badge are different cars.
- Say what you paid. Repair and purchase reports without numbers get a mod note asking for them.
- No selling in threads. There is no classifieds board on purpose. Linking a public listing to make a point is fine.
- If you work at a dealer, a shop, a lender or an auction, say so. Posting as a customer when you are not one gets the account removed.
- Mods can move, merge or lock threads and will leave a note saying why.
- Registration is by request while we keep the spam out. Ask through the contact page.
Ranks
Ranks are post counts, nothing more. Test drive, then Weekend driver, Daily driver and Concours. Members who work in the trade carry a Trade badge instead so you know where their answers come from. Moderators are marked.
What this is not
Not a dealer, not a shop, not a warranty company and not a substitute for the workshop manual for your VIN. When someone here gives you a torque number or a price, check it before you spend money.
